Human Trafficking: Modern Day Slavery

  • Christ Church in Short Hills 66 Highland Avenue Short Hills NJ 07078 USA (map)

Everyone is welcome to attend a screening of the film "Chosen" with panel discussion.

This is an initiative of two churches in Short Hills (Christ Church and St. Rose of Lima) to shine a light on human trafficking in our backyards.

“Chosen” is a 20-minute film by Shared Hope that tells the shocking true story of two “all-American” teenagers deceived into sex trafficking.

Panel of Experts:

Sr. Lena Picillo OP - Caldwell Dominican Sister

Susan Panzica - NJCAHT Board & Ambassador of Hope, Shared Hope

Kate Lee - NJCAHT Administrator

PLUS:   “Fair Trade” coffee & chocolate treats and exhibit tables about how to take local action

This event is free to attend, but please consider helping human trafficking survivors in New Jersey by bringing along $10 denomination gift cards to provide essential clothing or a warm meal or drink. Gift cards for Target, Walmart, Burger King, Dunkin donuts and Starbucks are especially appreciated. These will be distributed by the Dreamcatchers program and Hoving Home to the survivors they assist daily.
