Human Sex Trafficking: a Survivor’s Story
Shandra Woworuntu is an international advocate and leader in the fight against human trafficking. She is a compelling speaker in raising awareness about human rights, training professionals and lecturing to students across the country and internationally. A survivor of human trafficking, Shandra founded Mentari whose mission is to empower survivors of trafficking to reintegrate into the community and live independently. Shandra is a commissioner on human trafficking for the state of New Jersey and appointed by President Obama to the first U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking.
